Overview
All trees and shrubs above 1cm DBH were mapped, measured and identified to species on 12m radius for 25 sites in Mauricie, centre of Quebec. Forest were mixed coniferous-broadleaves naturally regenerating after clear cuts. About 2000 trees were cuts for dendrochronological studies. Additional information were taken on these trees as well: crown width, tree height, etc...
25 sites surrounding the city of La Tuque (all within about 80km of the city). Sites ranged from mainly composed of coniferous to broadleaves saplings. Densities were high, up to 200 000 saplings/hectare.
